A Trip to #MDMC17!

Digital marketing and social media are part of the ever-changing (and growing!) marketing landscape. It's truly a gift as a professional to be able to continue to learn, share your passion, and hone your craft - and it's even more amazing when it happens in your own backyard. Becky, our Communications Manager, had the opportunity to attend this year's two-day Midwest Digital Marketing Conference and soak in a bevy of tips, trips, and data to share with our team and clients.

Held at St. Louis Union Station, this was the second year Becky has had the privilege to attend, and the first year that the conference spanned over two days. The first day kicked off with a host of presentations to benefit professionals that are looking to expand their skill set or are seeking new opportunities. After lunch, a variety of breakout sessions were offered for attendees to discuss a range of trending digital topics including design and targeting your ideal audience.

Food trucks, music, and talented presenters aren't all this two-day conference had to offer - this conference offered the unique opportunity for the bulk of St. Louis-area marketing professionals to get together under one roof to share ideas and inspiration!

Day two held the majority of break out session opportunities, and to be honest, the most difficult part about this conference was selecting which one to attend! I found myself wishing that I could be in two places at once on more than once occasion. I started the day with a host of info about creating compelling Twitter content, heard from Phil Cara of Buzzfeed, and Derek Scott, a Facebook aficionado! Then Katie Krum of Under Armour's chat about content marketing was served up to a room full of creatives. After lunch, attendees took a break from the gorgeous St. Louis weather to head back into a variety of sessions wrapping the conference.

It was so inspiring to explore such an inclusive variety of digital marketing and social strategy topics - and I'm already looking forward to what the hardworking team has in store for next year. With the ever-evolving platforms and best practices, there's sure to be no shortage of trending topics to discuss in 2018.
